Zach Gilfix was a student in Advanced Statistical Modeling during the spring semester of 2016.  For his project, Zach modeled whether a football play would involve passing or running the ball. This paper is for statistics nerds and football nerds alike: his logistic models make a great case for implementing statistics in football while his informative exploratory data analysis clearly explains football strategy to those who know little about football.

Zach studied Applied Math and Statistics as well as Economics at Macalester.  He graduated from Macalester in 2016.
